LG Korea has announced its latest P300 series laptop. You may sound “Boooo….” as what is new in it. 😦

Coming right to that point, it has a 13.3 inch LED display with a unique design. Interesting part is that it is just 21mm. This means easy carrying anywhere you go. πŸ™‚

Small n thin are only physical. It has a ergonomic keyboard, with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with Nvidia 8600M graphic card with a 256 MB dedicated memory of its own, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a massive 250 GB SATA hard disk, 1280×800 pixels display, surround sound with two 1.5W high-power speakers, radio LAN, built-in WWAN and a 1.3 mega pixel web cam. Ooomph I’m tired of telling its features.

Because of the combination of the display, the memory and the surround sound, this is supposedly good for High Definition Videos and 3D Games.

Check it out once it hits the market this year.

Hot spots or WiFi access points are favorable spots for checking your emails when you are on the go or even otherwise. With the advent of wireless technology life has become so easy, but doubtfully secure while it comes to the data that is transferred over.

How many of you know all your emails are transferred as plain text? 😦

So definitely, the data transferred over WiFi is in-secure. 😦

But don’t worry now, the security comes to you free of cost. Make the most out of it and be secured.

Hotspot Shield from AnchorFree is a free software that keeps your Internet connection secure at public hotspots, home or at work. So why do in-secure Internet access.

Hotspot shield creates a virtual private network using the best in class VPN technologies between your laptop and the wireless router which will keep you secure and hack-proof. And all these come for FREE I say πŸ™‚ then why not try it.

Hotspot Shield runs on Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Mac OS X (10.5 Leopard), Mac OS X (10.4 Tiger).

Download Hotspot shield hss-logo and secure yourself.

For all music lovers, here’s a good news. A good news straight from apple. The cheapest iPod in the entire line-up of iPods, just got even cheaper. Apple has slashed its iPod Shuffle prices.

It’s now available at a meager $49 πŸ™‚ It’s true, believe it.

An interesting line-up of various cute “Shuffles” for you… πŸ™‚

It has also introduced a new 2GB Shuffle for $69. This makes it one of the most affordable and wearable iPod of all time.

The 2GB iPod Shuffle can hold double amount of music, but in the same package as 1GB iPod Shuffle. iPod Shuffle comes in 5 different colors, including the original Silver. This move will probably give other MP3 players a run of their money. Why settle down for an ordinary music player, when you can get an iPod for the same price.

Go grabbbbb itttt….. πŸ™‚

GMail’s feature – Negligence in webpages

Monday, February 18, 2008 Leave a comment

I don’t know how many of you know about a feature in GMail which allows multiple user ids with a combination of your user id and the symbol ‘+’. πŸ™‚ .

For example, consider a username myusername@gmail.com – for this username all the combinations such as

myusername+plusworks@gmail.com,

myusername+anything_underscorealso_works@gmail.com,

myusername+dot.also.works@gmail.com,…

works and all the emails sent to these user ids would be delivered to your inbox with myusername@gmail.com. Cool right πŸ™‚

Ok, now you say that we long knew about this feature.

But the fact is that not many of the websites accept this feature as part of the inputs that it take. Even the prominent email clients such as rediffmail doesn’t accept this as a valid email id in its to, cc, bcc fields in the compose mail option.

Invalid email error - Rediffmail.com

Most of the web pages doesn’t accept such email ids as valid email ids and reject your inputs without even considering them.

I feel that this is a very useful feature as far as I’m concerned, which makes it easy to index, filter and search your emails in the inbox. With the asynchronous (AJAXian) approach of the GMail gives you hassle free navigation, easy browsing through different pages and best in the class search features this adds to its pros as a very usable email clients that exists now.

My first email client that I was using was rediffmail, slowly moved to yahoo and now I slowly started migrating from all of these to GMail due to the powerful features that it offers.

We as techies πŸ™‚ should bring this to light and should revolutionize, wake the web world up to upgrade itself to the latest technological advancements that occur constantly.

I hope you all will raise a helping hand and support this. πŸ™‚
