Coffee – A New “look n feel”

Hello, I’m back with an interesting topic. “Coffee“, a word which is most popular in Southern India as well as in Italy, US and other parts of the world. I love drinking coffee so do you I guess. We will be going to drink coffee very often as part of our lunch session. As I stay with friends, I do not carry lunch with me to work. This gives me a chance to taste different varieties of dishes and tastes everyday. This is a different experience when you have good food around to taste with.

As part of our daily schedule of lunch session we at work have teamed into a group of 5 where we will be picking our choice through the week. This gives us a chance of picking and tasting different varieties of dishes and coming to know about the likes n dislikes of other people as well. This is kind or a very interesting thing every day at lunch.

The deal is that who ever picks up the choice the others have to accept it and go ahead with that choice that particular day. Of course, there will be lot of threats involved in this process at the back end for the person who is choosing the pick.

So coming to the point where I started, after all this process of picking and finishing our lunch we will be going to our favorite act of drinking coffee. At our work place there are two coffee outlets – Cafe’ Coffee day and Barista. There used to be a Coffee World but they have closed their outlet some time back. Coffee @ Barista is a very fine experience that we will go through every other day during weekdays. The Cafe latte, Brissta Frappe, the Brissta, the Swiss Mocha Frappe, the Mozhitho Freeze, the smoothies, the Brissta Blast and last but not the least most coffee lover’s choice world wide the Cappuccino and the Espresso.

The way the coffee gets into your throat, you feel heaven. You should experience it to feel the punch. Most people like the taste of bitterness in the Coffee, but I like the other way. I like it very sweet. I don’t know why. But i like it the sweetest way.

Recently, I saw a news about Coffee which features about art work in the Cafe lattes’. People have defined a new experience in coffee drinking. The way the coffee is made has been revolutionized. See this link/video about “Coffee turns to art in NYC“. The news features about different kinds of designs now stating to evolve out of the designers. It says that Serving cafe lattes in NYC is no longer about just steaming some milk and adding espresso – it’s about art. Watch it to find out more about it.

Some of the designs for your visual treat….

I came to see a phrase in Barista about Coffee. It starts as – “Coffee is a beverage which puts you to sleep if you fail to drink it…“. So drink itttt, before you fall asleep….. 🙂

Free Download Manager – Blogging buzz

Monday, September 3, 2007 Leave a comment

After I took my new broadband connection at home which is a 256 kbps connection, I was constantly on the search for some download managers which will allow me download content from Internet without much hassles. I wanted a kind of manager which will try to better use the available bandwidth efficiently for download purposes.

Free Download manager came into my sight. I have already used some other download managers which didn’t give me that satisfaction which the FDM has given me. The other download managers have actually downloaded the faster way but I used them in a more better environment for downloads. Even then, I didn’t feel its strength. But this FDM gave me that satisfaction and comfort even in my home environment where the bandwidth constantly keeps changing and dropping most of the time during day times.

It efficiently uses the available bandwidth to schedule different sets of downloads which actually helps us in downloading stuff from the web in a constrained environments. This has features to download single file, organize a batch download, schedule download at a particular instance etc.,

Try this out who knows all your download needs are met with this. My slogan “Hail FDM… Bravo FDM…” After experiencing it if you also feel the same, promote the usage of this using the Free Download Manger – Blogging buzz.

Mail n 20MB Attachments

I know many of you would be using the popular mail service providers like rediff, yahoo and gmail. They recently increased their mail storage capacity to unlimited. These mail providers are in a flurry of providing different and wide variety of services to users. This has left with users to use these wide variety of services to their maximum. Also recently as part of this drive, they increased even the attachment a user can send as part of the email.

Previously all the popular mail service providers had their maximum mail attachment size as 10MB, but that has been increased to 20MB now. This has been started by GMail and Rediffmail quickly caught up with this and increased its maximum attachment size. I know many people would have been sending emails daily, but I wonder how many of you have noticed this. I thought for people who did not notice this until now, this would be the time to notice this and start using this to their use.

I also wonder if you notice that yahoo has still not increased its size of maximum attachment. It still remains at 10MB. I wonder if there is any business tactic involved in it. Also there might be a problem in sending emails with attachment size of 20MB from rediffmail and gmail would ever reach yahoo and even if it reached what would be the state of the yahoo mail. To find this out, I actually tried sending an email with the attachment size more than 10MB from gmail to yahoo mail. In both of the mail accounts, the mails didn’t come.I don’t know the reason why. I hope the testing have been done well. I don’t know if any body has been tested this scenario or not.

Try it out and let me know if it worked for you..

Windows Vista – A Sneak Peek

Saturday, September 1, 2007 1 comment

Recently, one of my friends brother who is in US sent him a brand new lenovo laptop. That had the new Windows Vista OS installed in it. I was very much interested to intrigue into the details to see how the graphics look like on the new Vista. I heard the new Vista is compellingly good in graphics when compared to the XP OS which actually started the graphics revolution on Windows.

I have provided you some screen shots of how the Windows Vista GUI looks like for your reference. The Desktop, Save As, Start Menu etc., Some of my favourites which I call The “Sneak Preview“, the options which actually shows up the preview of the window that is minimized when the mouse pointer moves over to it and the “Alt+Tab” feature which actually shows up the windows that you use. These are just for your reference. I just started with the GUI because of the reason that I love to see the cool graphics on my desktop whenever i login to my system. I love to keep changing my wallpapers every now n then. I also like to listen to music so I tried with the real player installation and starte listening to some real time streaming songs. It was actually good when compared to the other versions of Windows OS.

It’s enough of the simple stuff, let’s try some serious stuff. I liked to connect to my official ssl vpn setup. First thing it showed me was a “Certificate Error” which i don’t know what exactly the failure suggested me. This was the same url link which I was using with my friends other laptop which has an XP installed on it. I wondered that didn’t prompt any Certificate Errors, but did the Vista which I was so interested in checking. Ok enough is enough, I proceeded with the option “Continue to this website (not recommended)” option since I know that this is my company’s valid web url which I was using in the past. This seems to be working fine. My Terminal Server connection from the ssl vpn connection was as usually the same even with the Vista.

As I said, this is just a sneak peak through the much more wide variety of features in the Windows Vista. If I find time, I’ll try to go in further to tell you more about it.
